Henkel Adhesive Technologies Packaging and Consumer Goods Division announces Price Increase on Selective Adhesive Categories

Dusseldorf, Germany - with immediate effect, or as existing contracts allow, Henkel is implementing a price increase for certain product groups of its Packaging and Consumer Goods Adhesive division. Increase amounts will vary based on technology.

This price increase is necessary due to ongoing shortages in the raw material market and higher cost for supply security ensuring the continued high quality of raw materials required for our value chains. The industry has been observing a substantial increase of raw material prices in the last months in the respective adhesive categories of hotmelts, polyurethanes, solvents and water-based.

‘We at Henkel have worked successfully to secure uninterrupted supply to our customers through our global supply network’ said Henkel’s Csaba Szendrei, Corporate Senior Vice President, Packaging and Consumer Goods Adhesives. ‘Now, due to ongoing shortages in key categories we have reached a point where increasing our adhesive price is unavoidable in order to continue delivering the same high quality product and service standards expected by our customers’.

Henkel’s Packaging and Consumer Goods Adhesives division mainly delivers a broad portfolio of hotmelt, polyurethane, water-based solutions and additional special technologies for various applications such as e.g. packaging, labeling, paper converting, tissue and towel, tapes, hygiene products, as well as building and furniture.
